Dr. Nimmy Thankom Philip is a simulation specialist with a Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics and more than a decade of experience in advanced computational modeling. Her career has been dedicated to applying Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) to solve complex challenges in the marine, offshore, and oil & gas industries.
She has worked extensively on hydrodynamic modeling of floating platforms, spar hulls, and damping devices under wave loading, combining experimental investigations with high-fidelity numerical simulations. Her expertise also extends to offshore structural dynamics, where she has conducted vibration, noise, and harmonic response studies to ensure the safety and reliability of critical systems. In the oil and gas domain, she has contributed to flow assurance and erosion analysis of subsea components, providing insights that enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risk.
